Olyam
begins his musical training aged 6 years old by learning how to
play the percussions, and later, at 10, studies classical guitar.
He soon starts composing. Meanwhile, aged 16, he joins forces with other teenage musicians as lead guitar player to create the blues-rock band "Texas TC" which tours during 7 years. During this period, Olyam also discovers the realm of electronic instruments. He then decides to deepen the stunning possibilities of synthesizers and starts to compose and recording pieces apart from any band. |

Since
then, Olyam has been recording as a solo artist several Chill-out/Ambient/Relaxation
albums, depending on the project, but he obviously still enjoy working
and collaborating with other musicians for his own albums or others',
searching for new musical sensations, mixing his synths and guitars
with human voices and sundry acoustic instruments.
Olyam thinks that symphonic and ethnic music are very important areas, and has also always been fond of rock, pop and classical music, and feels close to the “electro” movement. This global interest for many musical genres, is somewhat responsible of the wide array of atmospheres and rythms one can find in his albums. His style,
going from meditative instrumental to vivid and percussive themes,
is affiliated with the Chill-out/Ambient movement. Olyam’s
music is frequently used by therapeutists, or in relaxation, feng
shui, well-being centres. As a solo artist, Olyam
has recorded several cds one can find on www.olyam.com . Most of the albums are sold in France in Fnacs, Virgin Megastores and in Archambault, Canada. |
